3 DAYS IN HONGKONG

First let me introduce my china trip companion, khaiyan!! 
we're both scorpions..haha..
we are both adventurous people and we both love exciting heart thumping activities and amusement rides
we are both nite people sleeping at wee hours in the morning and waking up in the afternoon
seems like we have quite alot of similarities! and we are going to have alot of fun together, right khai? =)

And not to forget, my gramps who were with me in hongkong and shenzhen.

Will be staying at my relative's place in both HK and Shenzhen.
And this is my HK accomodation. 
The room is really quite small like all HK houses, but comfortable. =)
Oh but my relative's place is in new territories, so the travelling to town is horrendous!
It takes about 2 hours to reach town whether its taking direct bus or changing to MTR. 
Both khai and me always end up sleeping on the bus..haha..

Day 1:

Its really windy in HK. Love the weather. Natural aircon everywhere!

Shopping at 荃湾

The boots in hongkong are crazy CHEAP, $10 a pair! 
Tell me where u can find such prices in Spore. And they all look so pretty! 
And they are sold everywhere. No wonder all HK girls on the streets wear boots.

HK is really a shopping haven.
Half a day of shopping and this is what i've got. All cheap and good!

Day 2:

More shopping at 尖沙咀
Love how the yellow tiles contrast with the black words at the tsim sha tsui MTR stat.

Tried the macau pork bun. Really nice!
The bun is crispy on the outside soft inside. Abit like baguette but better, not as hard.
The pork is fried crispy and really juicy.

On our way back to my relative's place for dinner, this is what we saw after being deprived for 2 days.
FREE internet service at the MTR stat! hahah..amazing!

More shopping at 花园街 and 女人街

I really have to say. I thought in HK the english standard should be quite ok, but it turned out to be BAD.
Even their road signs have problems!

Do enlighten me how vehicles can be prosecuted..hahah..
I nearly flipped when i saw this.

Oh and for those who have read khai's blog, we finally saw cute guys on the 2nd day.
To think i thought HK streets are filled when cute guys. Disappointing.


Day 3:

Afternoon at Ocean Park

All i can say is DON'T VISIT THE PLACE!
Its so boring! None of the rides are exciting enough.
The roller coaster which both khai and me are anticipating to is super boring. 
Doesnt make your heart thump, rather it makes your head throb!
The pirate ship is so slow! Not scary at all! Even escape theme park can qie4.
The 20 storey high drop ride is dumb too, cos it only drops half way!
And the water ride only has one SHORT slope! Like what khai say, get wet for nothing!
I think the best ride in the park goes to the mine train. 
This is how pathetic our afternoon went. Sitting pathetic rides.
Plus I have no idea why it gets hotter up in high lands. 
So while everybody cleverly wears tees to ocean park, khai and me are soaked in sweat in our thick jackets!

But after a pathetic afternoon, we met up with the CS pple for dinner.
There's clement, jingli and friends, and zhuomin.
Nice to see familiar faces around in a foreign land!
And nice to get to eat really gd wanton noodles and dessert! All thx to jingli for his recommendations.

I HAVE A BLOG!!

haha..im surprised myself that i will actually set up a blog! 
But for memory sake, i think this will be my one and only blog. 
And due to pure laziness i think this entry will be the only one that will actually contain words. 
I guess most people do prefer looking at pics than reading right? haha..

anw for my 1st entry, i want to really express my thanks to all my dear friends and relatives!
it feels really good to know that there are so many friends out there who are concerned about you..
who would bother to make it a point to come for your farewell party..
thinking of sending you off when your flight is 640am in the morning (the thought of coming is enough..really..=))
sending you gd wishes msgs..
felt really touched by all these small gestures..
and of course all my relatives who gave me ang baos for my trip!
though they all say its just "xiao2 xiao3 yi1 shi4"...but man the sum is definitely not! haha..
but of course what really matters to me is not the money..its really the thought that counts..and i really really appreciate it!
no words can describe my appreciation! then again..the stress comes when i have to think of how to reciprocate to their kindness!

and most importantly, i have to thank my dear parents for forking out a huge sum of money for me to go on exchange..i love daddy and mummy!!!

i am so blessed.

okay! i think i've broken my own record..im not really a writing person..so i guess the 1st entry will just be this long..haha..
i'll be off to hk in a few hours time! next entry will prolly be up when im in shanghai..till then! =)
